The Boshof Solar Power project is a 66-megawatt (MW) solar photovoltaic (PV) park located near the town of Boshof in the Free State province of South Africa. The facility generates clean, renewable energy and provides economic and social benefits to the surrounding local communities. The solar farm is situated on 160 hectares of land within the Tokologo Local Municipality, about 55 km northeast of Kimberley.

This three-year learnership provides practical and theoretical training through the Artisan Training Institute, preparing participants for a future as qualified Industrial Electricians.

Learners will complete Phase 1, 2, and 3 training, followed by trade test admission to achieve artisan certification. This opportunity aims to develop technical skills, promote local employment, and support South Africa’s transition to renewable energy.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Grade 12 with Pure Mathematics and Physical Science, OR
  N2 Certificate with 4 relevant trade subjects
• Must pass a medical job-fit assessment (RFA)
• Must reside in Boshof or Hertzogville (Tokologo Local Municipality)
• Must be between 18 and 30 years old
