The Production Technology Learnership is a one-year training opportunity designed to equip participants with technical knowledge and workplace experience in production systems, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) operations, quality control, and safety compliance.
Participants will gain exposure to modern manufacturing processes and learn from industry professionals, positioning themselves for future employment opportunities within the production and engineering sectors.
This programme is ideal for detail-oriented, adaptable, and proactive individuals who are eager to build a career in manufacturing and industrial technology.
Key Responsibilities
As a Production Technology Learner, you will:
- Perform routine production maintenance and report irregularities.
 - Apply core principles of production systems, scheduling, and workflow control.
 - Support production equipment setup and assist in NDT operations.
 - Implement and monitor quality assurance processes.
 - Conduct regular quality checks and maintain production documentation.
 - Assist with packaging, labeling, and stock control.
 - Collaborate with NDT Technicians and Operators to achieve daily targets.
 - Uphold health, safety, and environmental standards at all times.
 - Ensure production areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with safety protocols.
 
Minimum Requirements
Education & Experience
- Matric / Grade 12 certificate with Mathematics and Science.
 - No prior work experience required — suitable for students or unemployed youth.
 
Skills & Attributes
- Age: 18–24 years (at time of application).
 - Medically fit and physically capable of performing production-related tasks.
 - Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
 - Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written).
 - Self-motivated and proactive.
 - Able to follow instructions accurately and work both independently and as part of a team.
 - Demonstrates commitment to safety and quality standards.
