Motheo Academy is a triple accredited professional skills development company in South Africa that specializes in training for the built environment and construction industries. It is part of the larger Motheo Construction Group. The Academy focuses on providing skills development solutions, including apprenticeships, learnerships, internships, and short courses, to empower South Africans with relevant skills for the construction and engineering sectors.

The Motheo Academy is proud to announce exciting opportunities for aspiring artisans to pursue a full-time, three-year Occupational Certificate in Carpentry (Red Seal). This structured apprenticeship programme aims to develop highly skilled carpenters equipped with both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in carpentry and construction-related trades.

Participants will receive a monthly stipend for the duration of the programme while gaining valuable exposure within the construction and built environment industries, ensuring they are work-ready upon completion.

About the Apprenticeship

This programme provides learners with comprehensive on-site training, technical workshops, and practical experience aligned with industry standards. It is ideal for individuals who are passionate about construction, craftsmanship, and working with their hands to create quality structures.

Qualification: Occupational Certificate: Carpenter (Red Seal)
Duration: 3 Years (Full-Time)
Location: Gauteng Province
Stipend: Monthly allowance provided

Requirements to Qualify

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered:

• Hold a Certified Grade 12 Certificate with Mathematics and English (certified within the last 3 months).
• Possess a Certified N2 Qualification in Carpentry (certified within the last 3 months).
• Provide a clear certified copy of their ID (certified within the last 3 months).
• Include a detailed CV outlining personal details, education, and contact information.
• Be 35 years old or younger.
• Be willing to travel within the Gauteng region when required.
• Be a South African citizen residing in the Gauteng region.
• Be willing to work in the construction or built environment industries for the duration of the apprenticeship.
