We’re looking for a dynamic, results-driven individual to manage product selection, negotiate contracts, and lead operational processes, ensuring profitability while fostering strong relationships across stakeholders. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Product Selection & Procurement:

  • Select and propose the most appropriate cellular products based on market analysis and company requirements.
  • Procure these products while ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery to meet business needs.

Contract Negotiation & SLA Management:

  • Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers and vendors, ensuring alignment with company goals and profitability targets.
  • Manage service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure adherence to performance standards and support company profitability.

Sales & Profitability Management:

  • Drive sales growth for cellular products by identifying market opportunities and aligning product offerings with customer needs.
  • Monitor product performance, ensuring profitability by managing costs, pricing, and supplier relationships.

Stakeholder Alignment & Communication:

  • Ensure effective communication and alignment between key stakeholders, including internal teams, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure efficiency and support operational effectiveness in managing cellular processes.

Operational Management & Reporting:

  • Oversee the operational management of cellular product lines, ensuring seamless execution of processes and reporting mechanisms.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness in line with company objectives.

Job Related Knowledge And Skills Required

Knowledge

  • A comprehensive knowledge/understanding of SA’s value retail clothing market, customers and competitors
  • A practical grasp of the South African Cellular market would be advantageous.
  • An excellent comprehension of branding, customer behaviour and principles relevant to value retailing.
  • Relevant product knowledge with regards to technology would be advantageous
  • An understanding of product components (in order to effectively negotiate price)

Skills:

  • Demonstrates a strong commercial mindset with the ability to evaluate opportunities, manage risks, and optimize business profitability in the cellular industry.
  • Expertise in the latest technology trends and developments in the cellular industry, with the ability to leverage technology for product innovation and operational efficiency.
  • Understanding of financial supply chain elements, ensuring cost control and maximising operational efficiencies.
  • Knowledge and experience in direct sourcing strategies, securing the best products and pricing for the business.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel for data analysis and PowerPoint for creating effective presentations and reports.
  • Ability to negotiate effectively, securing win-win agreements with suppliers and partners, driving mutually beneficial relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with various stakeholders and ensure clarity and alignment.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain productive, long-term relationships with suppliers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Proven track record in overseeing operations, managing budgets, and ensuring efficient execution of projects.
  • Ability to understand and interpret trends relevant to the customer profile, ensuring that product offerings are aligned with market demands.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A relevant Business/Commercial Degree or Diploma degree/qualification

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 3 – 5 years key account management experience in a retail/commercial and/or cellular environment,
  • Previous managerial experience, preferably within the Customer Service industry,
  • To understand the inner workings and product strategies
