The City of Cape Town is the legislative capital of South Africa and the second-largest city in the country. Located on the southwest coast beneath the iconic Table Mountain, it is a major port and a popular tourist destination. The City provides all the services normally associated with a full-service municipality, such as water, electricity, waste removal, sanitation, new infrastructure, roads, public spaces, facilities, housing developments, the upgrade of informal settlements and existing infrastructure, clinics and more.
Minimum Requirements
- MBChB degree
- 2 -3 years’ relevant experience in primary healthcare including infectious diseases and child health.
- Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
- Solid knowledge of all aspects of comprehensive primary healthcare and the district health system will be an advantage.
- A valid BLS/ACLS and PALS will be an advantage.
- Previous experience in TB, HIV and ARVs will be an advantage
