About the Learnership Programme
The Project Manager Learnership (NQF Level 5) offered by the Community Schemes Ombud Service (CSOS) is a nationally recognized, structured learning programme designed to equip participants with theoretical and practical skills in project management. The learnership spans all phases of project management – from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure – and aligns with PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge) international standards.
Each of the three regional programmes (KZN, Western Cape, Gauteng) offers 7 contract positions, bringing the total to 21 positions available nationwide.
Learnership Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a South African citizen
- Have completed Grade 12 (matric)
- Hold a minimum NQF Level 4 qualification
- Be computer literate
- Be proficient in English
- Be currently unemployed
- Not be studying at any tertiary institution
- Not have previously participated in a learnership programme
