iMasFinance is a South African financial services co-operative that offers a range of financial products, insurance, and financial wellness programs. Owned and operated by its members, the co-operative shares its profits with them through the iMasRewards loyalty program. iMasFinance was formerly known as Iemas Financial Services.

iMasFinance, an authorised financial services provider, is offering a 12-month Debt Recovery Learnership Programme designed to give young people practical experience in the financial services and debt collection environment.

Learners will gain exposure to essential debt recovery functions such as collections, legal handovers, portfolio management, and stakeholder engagement. This programme includes both theoretical and workplace training leading to an NQF Level 4 qualification.

Key Learning Areas

During the learnership, participants will gain hands-on experience in:

• Securing payment commitments from members in arrears
• Managing correspondence and collection queries
• Recording member information and collection activities
• Administering repossessions and legal processes
• Liaising with valuators, tracers, sheriffs, and lien holders
• Supporting attorneys and debt collectors with portfolio management and payment processing
• Maintaining professional client relationships and progress reporting

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered, applicants must:

• Have Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics and/or Accounting
• Be unemployed and not enrolled in any other studies
• Be previously disadvantaged youth
• Be available to start in November 2025
