Requirements
- Requirements: Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC), as a Nursing Assistant.
- Knowledge of nursing care, processes and procedures.
- Ability to function within a community.
- Provide healthcare services.
- Good communication skills and keep patient information confidential.
- Ability to work under pressure and must be able to work shifts.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Duties: Practice nursing in accordance with relevant laws and regulations of nursing.
- Maintain ethical standards of nursing, including professional development.
- Provide elementary nursing care, which entails clinical observation, maintenance of hygiene and nutritional status of patients.
- Create a safe and therapeutic environment. Be responsible for the efficient and effective utilization of resources.
- Render support to Nursing Professionals.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living. Patient care.
- Adhere to Batho Pele Principles, Patients Right Charter.
- Communicate effectively with patients, supervisors, and other clinicians.
