About the Job:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Housekeeping Manager in a remote location.
- Oversee and coordinate the activities of Housekeeping Attendants to ensure services are delivered efficiently.
- Study and evaluate housekeeping operations and suggest improvements to the Executive Housekeeper.
- Assign duties and responsibilities to subordinates and assist Housekeeping Attendants in their tasks.
- Check the Linen Room and pantry areas to ensure a smooth flow of guest supplies, uniforms, and linen.
- Maintain records of Planned Preventive Maintenance cleaning tasks such as window cleaning, carpet shampooing, mattress turning, and general room cleaning.
- Follow up on all out-of-order rooms to ensure timely maintenance and readiness.
- Ensure the correct distribution and control of master keys for security purposes.
- Conduct inspections of corridors, service areas, pantries, staircases, and public area toilets to ensure proper cleaning and maintenance.
- Take note of in-house and arriving VIPs, ensuring all suites and rooms are thoroughly inspected.
- Handle guest complaints according to hotel policy, report issues to the Director Housekeeping, check logbooks, and follow up on outstanding matters.
About You:
- 8 – 10 years of experience in a luxury industry
- Diploma in Hotel Management or another relevant field.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management or any other relevant field is desirable.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment.
- Proven experience in Leadership role with team management skills.
- Detail oriented, strong problem-solving skills and creativity
