About the Harmony Gold Learnership Programme 2025/2026

The Harmony Gold Learnerships 2025/2026 are designed to provide participants with theoretical education combined with hands-on practical training in core mining and engineering disciplines.

Learnership Fields Available:

• Rigger
• Boilermaker / Plater
• Instrument Mechanician

Successful applicants will gain structured training and workplace experience under qualified artisans, preparing them for trade tests and potential long-term employment opportunities within the mining sector.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered:

• Must be a South African citizen
• Must have completed Matric (Grade 12) or Technical Matric
• Must hold an N2 Certificate with relevant trade theory subjects
• Must have completed a qualification related to the chosen field of application
• Must have a good command of English (read, write, and speak fluently)
• Must possess a valid driver’s licence and reliable transport
• Must be medically fit and in good health
• Must be able to work well within a team
• Must be willing to work extended hours and perform standby duties if required
• Must adhere to company policies, safety, and health protocols
• Must demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills

Selection Process

Shortlisted candidates will be required to:

• Undergo a medical fitness examination at the Harmony Gold Occupational Health Centre
• Attend a formal interview as part of the final selection process
