The South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) is a Schedule 3A public entity in terms of the Public Finance Management Act (“PFMA”). It was established on the 1st of October 1998, following the enactment of the now repealed South African Civil Aviation Authority Act,1998 (Act No.40 of 1998).
South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA): Forensic Services Traineeships 2025. The Forensic Services Trainee will work under supervision to support the SACAA’s Forensic Services Department in minimizing the impact of fraud and misconduct. Trainees will participate in investigations, fraud awareness campaigns, stakeholder communication, and evidence preparation.
Minimum Requirements:
- National Diploma in:
- Forensic Investigation
- Forensic Auditing
- Law
- Or a related NQF Level 6 qualification
Ideal Candidate:
- Up to 1 year of experience in:
- Forensic Investigation
- Fraud Management
- Fraud Risk Management / Assessments
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in fraud risk identification and forensic awareness campaigns
- Conduct investigations from fraud hotline reports
- Interview subjects and gather evidence
- Compile investigation reports and maintain chain of custody
- Prepare evidence for corrective action tribunals
- Liaise with law enforcement when required
- Support unscheduled forensic and audit activities
- Maintain professional communication with stakeholders
