Overstrand Local Municipality is a local municipality in the Western Cape province of South Africa. Located within the Overberg District Municipality, its administrative seat is the coastal town of Hermanus. The municipality includes several towns and villages, with the principal towns being Hermanus, Gansbaai, and Kleinmond. Other communities include Stanford, Betty’s Bay, and Pearly Beach.

Requirements:

• A relevant 3-year tertiary qualification, preferably a National Diploma or B. Com with financial accounting as a major subject
• Computer Literacy: MS Office
• 2 5 years’ relevant experience
• Considerable in-depth experience of the Revenue,
• Expenditure and Costing modules of SAMRAS or any equivalent ERP system
• Proven ability to extract and transform data using analytical tools like MS Excel Code EB driver’s license

Key Performance Areas:

• Co-ordinates specific sequences and performs the associated procedures required in developing the skills and enforcing the basic controls and disciplines necessary in the running of successful financial application systems
• Provides user support associated with the capability and / or of the financial application system and operations
• Analyses and provides recommendations pertaining to the financial system and capacitates end-users on specific operations
