Job Advert Summary  

Are you a proactive and forward-thinking risk management professional? Boxer Superstores is looking for a dedicated Risk Officer to join our Head Office in Westville. In this critical role, you will assist the Group Risk Manager in developing, implementing, and managing a robust risk culture aligned with our Risk Committee.

Minimum Requirements
  • Relevant Risk Management Qualification.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Risk Management.
  • Membership in the Institute of Risk Management South Africa (IRMSA) is advantageous.
  • Exposure to the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Forward-thinking and solutions-driven mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively under deadlines.
  • Proficiency in report writing and presentation duties
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update the Enterprise Risk Management framework to ensure its effectiveness and relevance.
  • Engage with management to identify risks and controls, including emerging risks, to safeguard our operations.
  • Update risk registers and follow up on the implementation of action plans to mitigate identified risks.
  • Prepare risk-related content for reports, presentations, and meetings, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Create and implement engaging risk awareness programs to promote a proactive risk culture throughout the organization.
  • Assist various projects in identifying risks and providing solutions to ensure successful project execution.
