Job Description

An opportunity has become available for a Production Supervisor position to join the Prestige Clothing.

Responsibilities

  • Identify training required to develop a multi-skilled production line
  • Pre-production meetings must be attended prior to On-Line date
  • Ensure Line changeovers are done in the shortest possible time
  • Ensure line is set up according to the line balancing sheet.
  • Do Line balance to ensure full utilisation of staff
  • Ensure lines achieve hourly target
  • Follow the Production Plan and report deviations from the plan
  • Ensure downtime is kept to a minimum by reporting faulty equipment immediately
  • Ensure Bundle sheets information ties in with actual Cutwork delivered to line
  • Maintain WIP levels by ensuring minimum garments on work stations
  • Report Not In Full non-conformances immediately
  • Ensure styles are manufactured to required quality standard
  • Ensure style is off-line 24 hours prior to ASN date and time
  • Ensure deliveries are in full to Cutting Order and POM
  • Maintain needle policy
  • Discipline of employees for misconduct or poor performance
  • Record downtime accurately on MIS
  • Do capacity checks and performance boosting to achieve hourly target
  • Return all completed trims to the trim store after completion of style.

Requirements

  • Grade 10
  • Supervisory experience for 1 or more years
  • Clothing industry experience would be advantageous
  • Clear criminal record
  • Garment construction knowledge
  • Microsoft Office (Desirable)
  • Good contactable references
