Purpose of Job
- To reduce the diameter of a lead stubby and to cut delay elements into the required cut lengths. Compliance with all SHERQ procedures in daily operations.
Key Accountabilities
- Assemble and Operate 2 main Machines (Drawbench and Traub)
- Do fault findings on the machines for any deviations from the setup
- Reduction of delay stubby into a required diameter using draw bench machines
- Perform quality checks on drawn tubes and cut element using Shadowgraph machine to ensure that all units meet the specified cut length
- Housekeeping to maintain 5s standards
- Do stock count of all the raw material in the production area
- Do visual inspection and use relevant measurement tools and capture information on the Lot Traveler
- Completion of production documents
- Movement of cut elements into the heated storage area

Formal Education
- Grade 12 or Equivalent with Maths & Science
Working Experience
- 2+ years of experience in Explosives Manufacturing
- Plant specific experience (Delay Manufacturing – D3) will be an added advantage
