The Electronic Technician Internship provides aspiring engineers with valuable industry experience in circuit fabrication, testing, data analysis, and electronic hardware design. Interns will work alongside experienced engineers and technicians on real-world projects, contributing to the development and testing of advanced defence and industrial systems.

Key Performance Areas
During the internship, the successful candidate will:
- Assist with circuit fabrication, including soldering, kitting, and component verification.
- Support engineers and technicians in hardware fabrication and electronic assembly.
- Assist with data collection, analysis, and reporting for system improvements.
- Provide assistance with component procurement and inventory management.
- Participate in test and evaluation activities of prototypes and systems.
- Assist in the manufacture of tooling and test items.
- Support setup, operation, and maintenance of test equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety, Health, Environment, Quality, and Energy (SHEQ) standards.
- Uphold and implement Rheinmetall Denel Munition policies, procedures, and ISO standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum Qualification: Diploma in Electronic Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or equivalent.
- Advantageous:
- Experience in prototyping and electronic hardware design.
- Experience in 3D printing, CNC routing, and other CNC applications.
- Skills and Attributes:
- High degree of responsibility and discipline.
- Strong planning and organisational skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Computer literacy, especially in MS Excel and MS Word.
- Basic knowledge of SHEQ practices in the workplace.
- Other Requirements:
- Clear security screening.
- Code B driver’s licence (advantageous).
