The Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) is a South African government agency responsible for the registration and regulation of companies, cooperatives, and intellectual property rights. It was established in 2011 to replace the former Companies and Intellectual Property Registration Office (CIPRO). The CIPC operates under the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition. It facilitates the registration of various types of business entities, such as private companies and non-profit organizations.
The Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC), a member of the dtic, is a Schedule 3A public entity committed to enhancing youth skills development. Through its Internship Programme, CIPC provides unemployed graduates with practical workplace exposure to complement their academic qualifications.
What You Will Gain
The Internship Programme is a public service graduate work experience initiative aimed at:
- Providing unemployed graduates with workplace experience.
- Helping graduates practice the skills they studied.
- Preparing them for future employment opportunities.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a South African citizen.
- Be between 18 and 35 years old.
- Hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Office Administration
- Be unemployed and have never participated in an Internship Programme.
- Have no prior full-time work experience.
Additional Information
- Candidates must submit an updated CV and academic transcript when applying.
- Foreign qualifications must be evaluated by SAQA.
- Qualifications and citizenship checks will be conducted.
- CIPC follows an Employment Equity Plan, and preference will be given accordingly.
