Description

  • The Certificate Controller is responsible for managing certification documentation, ensuring compliance, and handling SAFEX and ESC certificates within AFGRI Grain Management Services.

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade 12
  • 2 years of relevant experience in an agricultural environment
  • Knowledge of SAFEX and ESC systems and grain certificates will be an added advantage

KEY PERFORMANE AREAS

Grain Certificates

  • Process certificate requests and verify stock availability
  • Issue grain certificates via the ESC system
  • Manage ESC system integration and troubleshoot issues
  • Maintain stock certificate records and ensure proper documentation
  • Monitor certificate expiration dates and facilitate renewals
  • Liaise with JSE regarding SAFEX certificate number ranges

Certificate Distribution

  • Control and process certificate requisitions
  • Ensure timely and accurate distribution of grain certificates

Customer Service

  • Maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers and attend to and resolve customer queries
  • Generate and monitor ESC reports, addressing any rejections
  • Coordinate with ESC personnel for issue resolution

Receipt of Grain Certificates

  • Record instructions for certificate handling on the system
  • Maintain accurate records of received stock certificates

Grain Transfers

  • Request and facilitate grain transfers, ensuring accuracy and completeness

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent administrative skills
