The Chemical Industries Education & Training Authority (CHIETA) is a statutory body established by the Skills Development Act (1998). The Chemical SETA was established to facilitate skills development in the chemical industries sector and ensure that skills needs are identified and addressed through a number of initiatives by the SETA and the sector.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- A Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7 qualification) in Software Development/Computer Science/Information Technology/Information Systems/Informatics/Financial Information Systems or equivalent.
- Minimum of Three (3) years of Systems Development in a Lead Developer position.
- Solid experience in JavaScript and the Node.js ecosystem.
- Extra credit for knowledge of ODOO.
- Knowledge of Web and Mobile Development; .NET Core Framework; ASP.NET, MVC, Web API and Core; HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript; jQuery, Angular and React; ORM; Web Services (REST & SOAP), Workflow systems; SQL Server 2022; MySQL 8; Database Design.

- Apply advanced programming skills to create scalable, high-quality solutions.
- Collaborate with teams to integrate new technologies and features.
- Implement security measures and ensure system scalability and performance.
- Conduct JAD sessions and facilitate user requirement gathering.
- Manage service providers and generate reports for stakeholders with the Innovation and Technology Business Unit.
