Job Description

  • Coca Cola Beverages South Africa has an exciting opportunity in the Sales & Marketing Department. We are looking for seasoned individual with necessary skills & experience for a Customer Marketing Manager role.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
Key Outcome

  • Development and Execution of Customer-Specific Marketing Plans: Develop and implement customer-centric marketing strategies that cater to the needs and objectives of key customers.
  • Customer Relationship Building and Growth: Strengthen and nurture relationships with key customers, becoming a trusted partner for their marketing and business needs.
  • Collaboration with Sales and Trade Teams: Work closely with the sales and trade marketing teams to ensure alignment between customer marketing initiatives and overall sales goals.
  • Customer Insights and Market Intelligence: Utilize customer data, insights, and market intelligence to inform and adapt marketing strategies, ensuring they are tailored to each customer’s needs and preferences. Success will be gauged through the ability to identify key trends and opportunities that positively impact customer satisfaction and revenue growth.
  • Development of Tailored Promotions and Campaigns: Create and execute customized promotions, marketing campaigns, and incentives designed to drive sales and enhance the customer experience.
  • Driving Customer-Centric Innovation: Lead the development and execution of innovative customer marketing initiatives that add value to both the customer and the business.
  • Customer Performance Tracking and Reporting: Regularly track and report on customer performance, using KPIs such as sales growth, share of category, and customer satisfaction.
  • Integration of Digital and E-Commerce Strategies: Support the integration of digital marketing strategies, including e-commerce and digital activation, into customer marketing plans.

Skills, Experience & Education
Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in  Finance, Economics or Business Administration.
  • Post graduate qualification will be advantageous.

Experience

  • 6-10 years of experience in commercial, marketing, or customer management roles.
  • Experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) or similar industries (e.g., FMCG, NARTD – Non-Alcoholic Ready-To-Drink products, etc.) cross-functional experience working with Sales, Finance, Product Development, and Operations teams to implement marketing strategies.
  • Experience in customer segmentation, digital marketing, customer analytics, and brand management is critical.
