1. Tradesman Aid

Requirements:

  • NQF Level 2 (Grade 10 certificate or equivalent)
  • 6 months trade-related experience
  • Laboratory experience and computer literacy will be added advantages

Key Duties:

  • Perform laboratory tests on road building materials according to standard test methods (TMH 1, TMH 5, SANS 3001).
  • Verify laboratory equipment as per ISO 17025 standards and ensure the lab and equipment are kept clean.
  • Assist with field tests and sampling on-site.
  • Report faulty equipment and perform other duties as assigned by higher-ranking officers.

2. Groundsman (Temba DLTC)

Requirements:

  • ABET or equivalent qualification

Key Duties:

  • Maintain premises and surroundings, including watering the garden, trimming flowers and trees, mowing the grass, removing weeds and garden refuse, and applying insecticides.
  • Cultivate soil for trees and flowers.
  • Maintain and repair gardening equipment and tools and report malfunctions.
