Duties and Responsibilities

• Leave Management
• Employee onboarding process / Induction
• Monitoring of scheduling/time and attendance
• Employee exiting process
• Recruitment
• HR and Payroll administration
• Monitoring of any disciplinary action and grievances/IR
• Facilitate terminations and conduct exit interviews
• General filing and any other administrative task as required by management.
• Co-ordinating any internal or statutory training
• Responsible for driving the Employment Equity process
• Finish tasks on time, even when it’s busy and things are moving quickly.
• Speak and communicate well.
• Stay organized and notice even small things.
• Find solutions creatively and think differently.
• Get along with people and build good relationships.
• Work well with others in a changing team.
• Conduct regular health and safety inspections of the store premises.
• Identify and assess potential hazards and implement preventative measures.
• Ensure all safety policies and procedures are up to date and comply with relevant legislation.
• Maintain proper records of safety incidents, inspections, and training.
• Conduct or coordinate health and safety training for all staff (e.g., fire drills).
• Ensure all emergency equipment (e.g., fire extinguishers, alarms, first aid kits) is maintained and accessible.
• Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) where applicable.
• Ensure proper signage is in place (e.g., wet floor, emergency exits, restricted areas)
• Ensure safe practices in stock handling, shelving, and warehouse operations.

Requirements

1. Matric
2. Experience: Human Resources
3. Within 25km from job
4. Clear criminal record

Preference

4. Payroll administration in retail environment
5. Computer literacy
6. Strong written and verbal communication skills
7. Human resources certificate would be advantageous
8. Candidates between 18 and 60
