Job Description

The Service Advisor is responsible for providing a high level of customer service and support within the service department of an automotive dealership. The Service Advisor acts as a liaison between customers and the service technicians, communicating vehicle issues, maintenance needs, and repair services. In addition, the Service Advisor is responsible for generating service orders, estimating costs, and scheduling appointments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
2. Listen to customers’ concerns and accurately document vehicle issues
3. Communicate recommended maintenance and repair services to customers
4. Generate and explain service estimates to customers
5. Schedule appointments and coordinate vehicle drop-off and pick-up
6. Update customers on the status of their vehicle and any additional services needed
7. Provide exceptional customer service throughout the service process
8. Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional manner
9. Maintain accurate records of service transactions and customer interactions
10. Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely and thorough completion of services

Requirements

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Previous customer service experience, preferably in an automotive service setting
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
4. Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload
5. Knowledge of basic automotive maintenance and repair services
6. Familiarity with computer software and electronic service systems
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
8. Professional appearance and demeanor
9. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
