Requirements

  • Minimum Requirements: Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills verbal and written.
  • Understanding of customer care and Batho Pele Principles.
  • Willing to work under pressure.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Duties: Financial Accounting Transactions: Receive, verify, and process invoices and payment vouchers.
  • Capture all financial transactions on the relevant financial systems (BAS, LOGIS). Compile and process journals.
  • Administer petty cash according to guideline.
  • Perform bank and account reconciliations, including suspense and unallocated accounts.
  • Budgeting Support: Assist in the compilation of budget submissions (e.g., MTEF).
  • Monitor expenditure against budget and identify variances.
  • Compile monthly In Year Monitoring (IYM) reports.
  • Administration & Compliance: Render proper record-keeping and manage filing systems for all financial documents.
  • Ensure compliance with the PFMA, Treasury Regulations, and other financial prescripts.
  • Assist during audit processes by providing required information.
  • Handle internal and external queries related to financial matters.
