About the Role:
Join our dynamic team as a Senior Business Developer to drive the growth of innovative renewable energy solutions globally. You will lead the sales and business development efforts for Release by Scatec, offering commercial and technical hybrid technology solutions to public and private utilities. From early-stage development to asset handover, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of sustainable energy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive customer acquisition and project opportunities across technologies and regions
- Manage key customer relationships as the primary external point of contact
- Conduct financial modelling for projects and portfolios
- Collaborate with technology suppliers, local developers, and JV partners
- Lead multidisciplinary teams of 10–20 individuals, including internal resources and subcontractors
- Negotiate commercial contracts with customers and optimise techno-economic solutions
- Develop marketing materials and contribute to organisational growth
- Manage projects through to project and asset management handover
- Lead development efforts, particularly in African markets
Who We’re Looking For:
- Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Engineering, Finance, or Commerce (required)
- Strong expertise in financial modelling and renewable power plants
- Minimum 10 years of experience in energy markets, infrastructure, or management consulting
Skills & Competencies:
- Leadership in multicultural and multidisciplinary teams
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and project planning tools
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
- High energy, goal-oriented, and proactive mindset
- Experience interacting with government officials and navigating developing markets
- Languages: Fluent in English and Portuguese proficiency is advantageous
