This Buyer Internship offers the opportunity to develop your retail and analytical skills by working with consumer data, planning tools, and inventory systems. You will support the planning and management teams with buying decisions and reporting, while also ensuring the right products are available at the right time.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse macro and micro sales data and purchasing trends
- Support inventory planning, demand forecasting, and order tracking
- Develop and update line lists and pricing structures
- Monitor seasonal changes and recommend assortment changes
- Assist in the management of stock levels, inventory health, and sales reporting
- Create regular reports (e.g., sales, ATS, top sellers, inbound containers)
- Place and track purchase orders, and manage GTM/SKU data
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- 1–2 years’ experience in a similar or retail environment (advantageous)
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills
- Excellent knowledge of the retail, wholesale, or eCommerce sectors
- High attention to detail, strong admin, and planning abilities
- Understanding of supply chain and inventory processes
- Valid driver’s license and own transport
- Willingness to travel locally
