Minimum Requirements
- Minimum Grade 10/ equivalent. Must be prepared to work shifts. Good communication skills.
- Good customer care. Must be able to work under pressure and with difficult patients.
- Problem solving skills. Must not be afraid to handle corpses. Must be prepared to rotate within the department.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Transport or convey Patients from Casualty to different departments. Assist X-Ray, theatre, Maternity and other departments. Loading and offloading of patients from ambulances and private cars.
- Check and replace oxygen cylinders. Collect and clean wheelchairs and stretchers. Collect corpses from wards to mortuary. Do all Porters responsibilities as delegated by the Supervisor.
