Ehlanzeni District Municipality (EDM) is one of the three districts in Mpumalanga Province and is located in the Northern Eastern part covering the whole Southern part of the Kruger National Park.
Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Grade 12 plus a 3-year Diploma/Degree in Geographic Information Sciences (GISc), Geomatics, or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience in ESRI ArcGIS software.
- Computer literacy (MS Office packages).
- Valid driver’s license.
Additional criteria:
- Must be South African citizens.
- Must be between 18 – 35 years old.
- Must be unemployed and have never participated in an internship programme before.
- Must be willing to sign an internship agreement.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be trained and required to assist in:
- Spatial data collection and capturing (field and digitizing).
- Spatial data cleansing and manipulation.
- Map production.
- Spatial analysis.
