EThekwini Municipality is a metropolitan municipality in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa. Created in 2000, it includes the coastal city of Durban and its surrounding towns and rural areas. The Zulu word eThekwini means “ocean and bay lagoon”. The landscape features a warm, subtropical climate, extensive beaches, hilly regions, gorges, and ravines. The municipality’s composition of urban, semi-urban, and rural environments presents a challenge for sustainable development.
Job Purpose:
- To implement the collection of domestic, commercial, industrial and garden waste in accordance with relevant regulations and bylaws.
Minimum Requirements:
- Diploma (NQF Level 6) in one of the following qualifications: Operations Management Environmental Management Environmental Engineering Waste Management Public Management Logistics Management or any other related and equivalent qualification. Valid motor vehicle driving license.
- 3 Years relevant experience.
