What is East London Industrial Development Zone (ELIDZ)?
The East London Industrial Development Zone SOC Ltd is the operator of the East London Industrial Development Zone (ELIDZ), an entity which exists to help manufacturers to become globally competitive through the development and efficient management of a modern, purpose built industrial location, which offers investing industries a streamlined business environment enhanced by a range of supporting services. The zone is already operational and currently houses a number of manufacturers that supply products for the local and international markets.
ELIDZ is offering an exciting internship programme aimed at providing practical experience in various fields over a period of up to 24 months. This opportunity is available to South African citizens, especially those from the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality. Preference will also be given to top academic performers and persons with disabilities.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Academic Qualification: Applicants must have completed relevant studies and hold the required qualifications.
- Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen, with preference given to residents of Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality.
- Disability Consideration: Preference will be given to suitably qualified persons with disabilities.
- Employment Status: Applicants must be unemployed, not studying full-time, and should not have relevant work experience or have participated in any other internship programme.
- Age Limit: Applicants should be between the ages of 18 and 35 years.
