Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd is a state-owned public utility that generates, transmits, and distributes approximately 90% of the electricity in South Africa. It is the country’s primary electricity supplier, also trading electricity in the Southern African Development Community (SADC). Eskom Communications refers to the communication department and activities of Eskom, South Africa’s public electricity utility.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide medium to long term energy planning capability.
- Perform economic and financial analysis on alternative technology options and various energy planning studies.
- Conducting research on energy planning methods, developing new techniques and adapting appropriate methods and techniques.
- Continuous assessment of the developments in the energy sector.

Qualification(s)
- BSc Eng./B Eng. Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic/Industrial Engineering at NQF 8 with 480 Credits.
Experience:
- 4 years’ experience in power system planning and/or forecasting environment
