Job Description

  • Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) has an exciting opportunity in our Manufacturing Department. We are looking for a talented individual with relevant skills and experience for a Health & Safety Administrator, based in Pretoria. The successful candidate will report directly to the Risk Specialist.

KEY PURPOSE: The Health & Safety Administrator will provide administrative support to the Risk Specialist.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
H&S Data and Documentation Administration

  • Maintain accurate records for incidents, risk assessments, training, toolbox talks, safety meetings, and corrective actions.
  • Update and manage safety registers and compliance tracking tools.

Safety Systems Support

  • Ensure timely data capture and system entries into safety platforms.
  • Assist with generating periodic safety performance and compliance reports.

Audit and Inspection Preparation

  • Support the Health and Safety Manager with documentation needed for internal and external audits.
  • Track and compile inspection results and follow-up action items.

Training and Induction Scheduling

  • Coordinate health and safety training sessions, medicals, and onboarding inductions.
  • Maintain up-to-date training and certification records for all plant employees and contractors.

Legal Compliance and Filing

  • Maintain a well-organized filing system for all health and safety legal appointments, permits, and contractor documentation.
  • Track expiry and renewal of compliance documents (e.g., fire equipment servicing, PPE calibration).

Communication and Engagement Support.

  • Distribute safety communications, updates, and awareness material.
  • Assist in organizing safety days, toolbox talks, and H&S promotional activities.

Administrative and General Support

  • Schedule meetings, prepare agendas and minutes for H&S committee meetings.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Health and Safety Manager and team

Skills, Experience & Education
Education

  • National Certificate or Diploma in Office Administration, Health and Safety Administration, or equivalent
  • H&S-related coursework or awareness is advantageous
  • AMTRAC or equivalent H&S exposure beneficial

Experience

  • 2–3 years’ administrative experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Previous support in a Health and Safety or Compliance function is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with document control and regulatory compliance processes

Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with health and safety systems and tools
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality
  • Knowledge of South African OHS Act and basic H&S terminology advantageous
