About Role
- A hospital billing clerk is responsible for preparing and processing patient bills, which involves verifying patient and insurance information, calculating costs for services and supplies, and ensuring that all charges are accurate before submitting them to patients and insurance providers.
Job Description
- Process the billings for all material usage
- Ensure that all documents are duly completed
- Ensure that all stock utilised is charged to the patient’s account
- Ensure that all relevant tariff billing is done
- Submitting of accounts via EDI System
- Attend to billing queries
- Strictly adhere to company policies and procedures
Job Requirements
- Matric
- Previous experience advantageous
- Computer literacy is essential
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- This position requires attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
