Stefanutti Stocks Africa is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our Shared Services team based in Johannesburg South Africa, servicing operations across the Africa region. The successful candidate will support financial reporting, compliance, reconciliations, and regional finance administration across multiple African jurisdictions.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles (advantageous but not essential)
• 2–4 years’ relevant accounting experience
• Fast and accurate processing in in multi-currency ledgers under strict time constraints
• Experience working in a multi-entity and multi-currency environment is advantageous
• Proficiency in MS Office (advanced Excel required)
• Knowledge of ERP systems (Buildsmart)Knowledge and Skills
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
• Experience with reconciliations (bank, intercompany, creditors, debtors, fixed assets)
• Ability to assist with month-end and year-end processes
• Understanding of VAT and tax compliance requirements
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across regional teamsKey Responsibilities
• Prepare and process journal entries
• Perform monthly reconciliations (bank, general ledger, intercompany)
• Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts
• Support regional reporting across African operations
• Assist with statutory and tax compliance requirements
• Support audit preparation and provide required documentation
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies
• Provide financial administration support to regional finance teams
