Job Purpose

  • Performs routine administrative duties such as drafting correspondences, scheduling appointments, organising and maintaining data, as well as assisting internal and external stakeholders

Key Responsibilities:

Contribution Processing

  • Receive, validate, and upload payroll contribution schedules from participating employers.
  • Ensure all contributions are processed accurately within service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Identify and resolve data discrepancies, missing members, or salary mismatches before system upload.
  • Liaise with employers for corrections or outstanding data.

Reconciliation and Allocation

  • Perform monthly reconciliations between contribution schedules, payment amounts, and fund records.
  • Investigate and clear unallocated deposits promptly.
  • Escalate unresolved or complex discrepancies to the Team Leader / Compliance & Reconciliation team.
  • Maintain a complete audit trail of all reconciliations and communications.

Data Quality and Controls

  • Conduct monthly quality assurance checks on processed data.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Adhere to internal controls and maintain confidentiality of member data.

Support and Leadership

  • Assist the Team Leader with workload management and reporting as required.
  • Contribute to a positive, accountable, and high-performing team culture.

Key Skills/Experience/Knowledge

  • Retirement Fund Payroll Experience essential
  • Tertiary Qualification in Finance (advantageous) OR
  • Previous experience in a financial/reconciliations role distinct advantage
  • Finance knowledge (Suspense account knowledge advantageous)
  • MS Excel (Intermediate)
