The ARC seeks to appoint a highly skilled, experienced and dynamic person to the following position(s) at Animal Production (ARC-AP), Irene, Pretori
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct applied research on Yellow Mealworm biology and production systems.
- Develop, refine, and document effective breeding and rearing strategies.
- Investigate the use of different substrates to improve cost-effectiveness and sustainability.
- Meticulously collect, manage, and process all experimental data.
- Maintain optimal hygiene and operational protocols in the insectary.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree/ B-tech/ Advance Diploma in Entomology, Animal Science, or Agriculture.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a research team.
- Strong communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
- Must be adaptable and eager to engage with novel research concepts and methods.
