The City of Ekurhuleni is a metropolitan municipality in the Gauteng province of South Africa, located east of Johannesburg. It was formed in 2000 through the amalgamation of the former East Rand region. Its name means “place of peace” in the Tsonga language. Covering 1,975 square kilometers, Ekurhuleni is one of the most densely populated areas in the country. It is strategically located as a transportation hub, home to a vast network of roads, railways, and O.R. Tambo International Airport.
Minimum Requirements
- Advanced National Certificate in Finance or relevant equivalent NQF Level 5 qualification
- 5 years’ experience in a supply chain environment
Core Responsibilities
- Responsible for all aspects relating to the preparation of payment vouchers to enable the central creditors office to pay creditors
- Perform operational processes to ensure all payments are done effectively and timeously in accordance with the Council Procurement Policy
- Apply governance and risk management to reduce the risk of losses
- Apply financial processes to comply with the MFMA
- Maintain customer service orientation to ensure a performance driven section and contribute to overall Departmental objectives
