Job Purpose | Record, monitor and report on fleet utilisation and running costs. Supervise and control the efficient administration of the Department’s Transport fleet and mobile plant to comply with the Road Transport Act, R.T.Q.S. and standard council regulations. |
Key Responsibility Areas | •Controls the administrative systems and activities and ensure that all transport legislative requirements are met e.g. Road Traffic Ordinance Act and the Road Transport quality systems. •Control and maintain a filing system for all the fleet/plant vehicles e.g maintenance costs, usage etc. •Monitors and administer the maintenance schedules of the fleet and inform respective. •Managers in advance and provide Pool Vehicles as replacement. •Responsible for the Transport Section Stationery requirements. •Liaise with Managers on all Technical aspects of vehicle and mobile plant maintenance/performance, including specification, vehicle inspection, modifications, refurbishment programmes etc. •Extraction, processing and preparation of statistical information and reports of various management systems e.g. fuel management system, vehicle monitoring system that are required by Management. •Supervises and control subordinates’ staff within the Transport sub section. |

Essential Requirements | •Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Fleet Management or any other related and equivalent qualification. •Valid motor vehicle driving license. •3 Years relevant experience. •Computer Literacy. |
