AfriSam is offering a 24-month Internship Training Programme within its Quality Department at the Roodepoort Plant. This opportunity is designed for students who have completed their theoretical studies and require Work Integrated Learning (WIL) to graduate.
The programme provides hands-on experience in laboratory testing, quality control, and industrial chemical processes.
Purpose of the Programme
- Provide practical workplace experience
- Bridge the gap between theory and industry
- Develop technical and professional skills
- Prepare candidates for careers in laboratory science and quality management
Minimum Requirements
- Completed all theoretical modules for a Diploma in Analytical Chemistry
- Require WIL to graduate
- Minimum academic average of 60%
- Good work ethic and professional behaviour
Key Responsibilities
Laboratory Testing and Analysis
- Conduct chemical and physical tests
- Perform routine laboratory analyses
- Record and interpret results
Quality Control Support
- Assist with quality assurance processes
- Monitor product quality
- Report deviations
Data Recording and Reporting
- Maintain accurate laboratory records
- Assist in compiling reports
Equipment Handling
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment
- Assist with calibration and maintenance
Compliance and Safety
- Follow safety procedures and regulations
- Participate in safety training
