EThekwini Municipality is a metropolitan municipality in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa. Created in 2000, it includes the coastal city of Durban and its surrounding towns and rural areas. The Zulu word eThekwini means “ocean and bay lagoon”. The landscape features a warm, subtropical climate, extensive beaches, hilly regions, gorges, and ravines. The municipality’s composition of urban, semi-urban, and rural environments presents a challenge for sustainable development.
Job Purpose:
- To inspect, repair and test mechanical plant and equipment at the Department’s installations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Trade Tested Artisan (Fitter and Turner or Millwright).
- Valid Basic First Aid and Basic Safety certificate or to be completed within 6-12 months from date of appointment. Valid motor vehicle driving license
- 3 Years relevant post qualification experience.
- Preferred Requirements: 4 years relevant post qualification experience.
