EThekwini Municipality is a metropolitan municipality in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa. Created in 2000, it includes the coastal city of Durban and its surrounding towns and rural areas. The Zulu word eThekwini means “ocean and bay lagoon”. The landscape features a warm, subtropical climate, extensive beaches, hilly regions, gorges, and ravines. The municipality’s composition of urban, semi-urban, and rural environments presents a challenge for sustainable development.
Job Purpose
- To manage the overall function of the Division and undertake responsibility for the professional interpretation and analysis of the various aspects and requirements of civil engineering work within the Division.
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor of Technology or Bachelor of Engineering Technology (NQF Level 7) in Civil Engineering.
- Registered as a Professional Civil Engineering Technologist with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA). Valid motor vehicle driving license.
- 5 Years relevant post registration experience. Computer Literacy.
