Requirements
- Minimum educational qualification: Basic R425 qualification (i.e. diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse and Midwife. (This dispensation is only applicable for posts of Clinical Programme Coordinator where it is an inherent requirement of the post, incumbent to maintain registration with the SANC). Registration with a professional council:
- Registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse and Midwife.
Experience
- A minimum of 7 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with SANC in General Nursing. Inherent requirements of the job:
- Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence and willingness to drive government vehicles and mobile clinic (for outreach purposes) and travel.
Competencies (knowledge/skills)
- Good interpersonal relations, leadership and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Effective leadership, supervisory, planning, coordination, organising, facilitation, mentoring, problem solving, decision-making, as well as conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to interact, network and liaise with diverse stakeholders and health care users and providers and to function independently as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a pressured environment.
- Extensive knowledge of nursing care practice and procedures, nursing statutes and ethical standards, and other relevant legal frameworks such as: Nursing Act, SANC Education and Training Regulations and Qualifications Framework, Skills Development Act, Department of Health Training and Development Policies and Procedures
