The Central Karoo District Municipality is situated within the Karoo with its base in Beaufort West. It comprises three local municipalities, namely Laingsburg, Prince Albert and Beaufort West Municipalities.

This is a structured 2-year fixed-term internship aimed at providing high-quality training and practical exposure within a Municipal Budget and Treasury Office, in line with the MFMA, Act 56 of 2003.

Qualifications and Experience

• A three-year Degree or National Diploma with majors in:
  • Accounting
  • Economics
  • Finance
  • Risk Management
  • Auditing
• Proficient oral and written communication skills in English and Afrikaans
• Computer literacy with knowledge of Windows and spreadsheet applications
• A valid driver’s licence will be an added advantage
• Must be between 21 and 35 years of age
• Preference will be given to:
  • Candidates from the Central Karoo Region (proof of address required)
  • Candidates who have not previously participated in an internship programme
