Special Steels Dunswart is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Metallurgical Department as a Quality Intern. This internship opportunity offers practical work exposure in a dynamic manufacturing environment, providing the foundation for a successful career in quality management.
Minimum Requirements
- Must have a qualification in Quality either a National Diploma or Degree
- Ability to communicate in English (read, write, and speak) – Essential.
- Age 20 – 28
- Availability and commitment to complete a full year (12 months) of training – practical time.
- Intake is merit based and candidates who do not meet the stipulated criteria will not be considered.
- Applications from individuals who are related to current employees of Special Steels Dunswart will not be considered.
- Interns will receive a monthly Stipend from the company and will be placed in the company (for the duration of the Internship) in order to apply the practical learning component.
- Basic knowledge of safety and environmental legislation is beneficial.
- Computer literate – Proficiency in MS Office.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Support compliance to ISO 9001 and internal quality procedures.
- Compile and update quality documentation (procedures, work instructions, calibrations, registers).
- Assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits.
- Quality training and awareness.
- General administrative and practical tasks of the functions in the Metallurgical Dept.
