The City of Ekurhuleni is a metropolitan municipality in the Gauteng province of South Africa, located east of Johannesburg. It was formed in 2000 through the amalgamation of the former East Rand region. Its name means “place of peace” in the Tsonga language. Covering 1,975 square kilometers, Ekurhuleni is one of the most densely populated areas in the country. It is strategically located as a transportation hub, home to a vast network of roads, railways, and O.R. Tambo International Airport.
Minimum Requirements
- Higher Certificate in Administration or relevant equivalent NQF Level 5 qualification
- 1 – 2 years’ experience in a supply chain environment
Core Responsibilities
- Provide finance and general administrative/clerical support to the section
- Perform operational processes to enable the section to perform effectively and efficiently to meet its targets
- Apply governance and risk management to ensure compliance with policies and procedures and safe working environment
- Apply financial processes to prevent wasteful expenditure
- Maintain customer service orientation to meet customer expectations
