Job description
Reach Truck operators are responsible for moving stock from Receiving to the Inventory warehouse floor. Ensuring efficiency and safety. This position reports directly to the Inventory Manager and or Outbound Manager and will be required to work different shifts across trading and non-trading hours, including Sundays and Public Holiday.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Moving of stock from receiving to Inventory
- Do put-away – transferring and allocating receiving inventory into the warehouse allocation in an accurate and timely manner.
- Replenish stock to the picking area.
- Assist pickers with Bulk picking by delivering correct items and quantities of goods from Inventory to the checking bay.
- Assist Inventory team with stocktaking.
- Complete daily Reach Truck checklist before operating the machines.
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
- Report any damages.
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers.
- Maintain compliance to all health & safety standards.
- Handle heavy lifting, moving products as needed.
- Build and maintain product knowledge to assist with accurate picking and packing
- Operate a scanner to track and record inventory movements.
- Work efficiently, especially during peak periods.
Requirements
- Matric
- Driver licence: Reach Truck
- Experience: Reach Truck Driver, Warehouse Worker
- Within 25km from job
- Clear criminal record
Preferences
- South African candidates
- English
- Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Reach Truck Driver in the warehouse environment
- Candidates between 18 and 35
