PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

  • Responsible for the coordination of sales, stock and customer care to maintain profitability and growth targets. Duties and Responsibilities: – Provide customer service – Implement in-store promotions – Maintain and monitor stock availability – Manage and develop staff – Manage section finance

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service:

  • Coach and guide salesclerks in product knowledge and selling skills.
  • Identify client needs and resolve queries.
  • Advise and inform clients on product ranges and offers.

Implement in-store promotions:

  • Consult with suppliers and product managers to determine price and product offering.
  • Do sales forecasts and initiate orders.
  • Obtain promotional material, do merchandising and run promotion.
  • Provide support and advice during promotion.

Maintain and monitor stock availability:

  • Perform stock forecasts and order stock.
  • Ensure the correct receipt of stock according to procedures and policy.
  • Merchandise and pricing of stock and ensure continuous stock taking.
  • Analyse redundant stock reports and implement corrective measures.
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding volumes, delivery terms and conditions.
  • Manage and develop staff.
  • Monitor expenditure, income and report on variances and implement corrective measures.

Requirements:

  • National Senior Certificate.
  • At least 3 till 5 years related experience in a retail environment.
  • Candidates with SAP knowledge of SAP will receive preference.
