The Cross Border Road Transport Agency (C-BRTA) is a South African statutory body established to regulate and facilitate the movement of passengers and freight by road between South Africa and other Southern African Development Community (SADC) countries. Its main goal is to improve the flow, safety, and efficiency of cross-border road transport.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Co-ordination and logistic arrangements of training and other events.
- Identifying of role players of the market in respect of industry development — includes operators, funding institutes, training institutes, insurance agents, finance houses, OEMs, etc.
- Maintenance of a database of industry stakeholders
- Disseminating information.
- Identifying potential opportunities for economic growth.
- Providing administrative support to the Industry Development Sub-Unit.
- Participate in field visits, consultations and related projects.
Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in one of the following fields:
- Economics,
- International trade,
- Transport logistics management
Behavioural Competencies
- Strong interest in business management,
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Analytical, organisational and interpersonal skills.
