About Rand Water

Rand Water is a South African state-owned water utility and the largest in Africa, founded in 1903. It provides bulk potable water to a region spanning over 37,000 square kilometers, serving more than 18 million people in Gauteng and parts of Mpumalanga, the Free State, and the North West provinces. Rand Water purifies and distributes large quantities of bulk water to municipalities, industries, and mines.

Job Summary

Govan Mbeki Local Municipality and Rand Water take pleasure in inviting suitably qualified and unemployed graduates to participate in a three-year fixed term contract programme for the above mentioned discipline.

Minimum Requirements:

• Suitably qualified in above mentioned discipline from accredited Universities
• Unemployed
• A valid code 08 drivers’ licence will be an advantage.
• Appointments will be made in the context of Employment Equity
• Must be a South African Citizen in possession of a valid SA ID
• Must be under the age of 35 (aligned with the NSDS III)
• Academic record of qualification must be aligned to academic requirements for professional registration with the respective statutory Councils (ECSA, SAGC, SACPLAN, SACNASP and SACPCMP)
• Registered as a candidate with the respective Councils will be an advantage

• Shortlisted applicants will be subjected to assessments, security clearance, qualification verification and will be required to produce original qualification certificates and academic transcripts /statement of results.

Key responsibilities
