Requirements and Expectations
Minimum Requirements
- A Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or relevant qualification.
- A National Diploma in Records Management, Archives, Human Resource Management, Administration, or Public Management will serve as an added advantage.
- Relevant experience in registry functions will serve as an added advantage.
- The disclosure of a valid, unexpired driver’s license will serve as an added advantage.
- Computer literacy (MS Office packages).
- Knowledge of human resources functions and practices, and the ability to capture data, operate office systems, and compile administrative statistics.
- Basic knowledge of HR prescripts and financial operating systems (PERSAL).
- Understanding of the legislative framework governing the public service.
- Familiarity with storage and retrieval procedures within an office environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide counter and client service functions.
- Handle all incoming and outgoing correspondence efficiently.
- Render effective filing and records management services.
- Operate office machines and registry systems.
- Process documents for archiving and disposal according to approved procedures.
